This fundraiser directly benefits Butte SPIRIT Homes, a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing and recovery support for individuals in early recovery from addiction. Your participation and support will help fund:

Safe, stable housing: Butte SPIRIT Homes offers structured, recovery-oriented living environments for people rebuilding their lives after addiction. Residents typically come from situations of homelessness, incarceration, or inpatient treatment and need a supportive place to transition into long-term independence.

Peer support & recovery coaching: The program pairs residents with peer recovery specialists who offer lived-experience mentorship, helping individuals stay accountable and navigate the challenges of early recovery.

Case management & life skills support: Residents receive guidance on job readiness, health care access, budgeting, transportation, and reintegration into the community — all critical tools for long-term success.

Trauma-informed care: The program integrates a compassionate, person-centered approach that recognizes and responds to the impact of trauma on substance use and recovery.

A recovery-centered community: More than just housing, Butte SPIRIT Homes creates a sober, supportive environment where residents are surrounded by others working toward similar goals.

Butte's Own Strongman

Ray Hibness is more than just strong — he’s a symbol of grit, determination, and Butte pride. A native of the Mining City, Ray made international headlines when he earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records by swinging a 132-pound kettlebell 39 times in one minute, lifting over 5,100 pounds in total. Now, he’s back to raise the bar even higher with a brand-new world record attempt — all in support of Butte SPIRIT Homes and their mission to empower individuals in early recovery from addiction.
